Darcy Kanu scored with 45 seconds elapsed  in the double overtime to give the MDI Trojans' Girl's Soccer Team a 2-1 victory over John Bapst in a game held in Bar Harbor on Tuesday, October 14th, 2014.

Mount Desert Island’s Paige Mason scored the game’s first goal at the 26:00 mark in the first half. John Bapst’s Mari Tomanelli scored 14 minutes into the second half to tie.

Keely McConomy saved 7 of 8 shots for MDI while Anna Zmistowski saved 12 of 21 shots for John Bapst .

With the victory, MDI improves to 9-2 on the season and has three games remaining in the season all at home; against Old Town on Thursday October 16th at 6 PM; against Hermon on Saturday, October 18th at 11 AM and then on Senior Night on Monday, October 20th against Ellsworth.

John Bapst is now 6-5-1. The Crusaders have 2 games remaining in the season. The play at Hermon on Thursday, October 16th at 6:30 PM and then play host to Presque Isle on Senior Day on Saturday, October 18th at 11 AM
