The MDI Trojans beat the Hermon Hawks 3-1 in Hermon on Thursday, May 25th. It was only the 3rd loss of the season for Hermon, and MDI has 2 of those wins and Ellsworth has the other.

Matt Perconti pitched a complete game for MDI for the win. He allowed only 4 hits, striking out 6 and walking 1.

Zach Nash was the tough luck loser for Hermon. He pitched a complete game, striking out 11, walking 1 and giving up 6 hits.

MDI took the lead in the top of the 2nd inning 1-0. Hermon tied the scored in the bottom of the 3rd inning and then MDI took the lead for good, scoring 2 runs in the top of the 6th inning.

Mac Shea was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 runs batted in for MDI. Jacob Mitchell had a double and Drew Shea, Riley Swanson and Fin McConomy each had a single.

Keith Pomeroy had a triple for Hermon. Alex Applebee, Kent Johnson and Zach Nash each had a single.

MDI is now 7-5 and plays host to Caribou in a doubleheader on Saturday, May 27th at 12 Noon and 2 PM.

Hermon is now 10-3 and travels to Presque Isle for a doubleheader on Saturday, May 27th at 12 Noon and 2 PM.
