MDI Baseball Splits with Presque Isle

The MDI Boy's Baseball Team split it's doubleheader with Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon on a clear, cool, day in Bar Harbor. The Trojans won the first game 2-1 and lost the second game 8-3.

In the first game, Seth Young pitched a complete game, going 7 innings, allowing just 1 run on 4 hits, striking out 11 and walking no one.

MDI won a walk off in the bottom of the 7th inning. Stanley Grierson flew out to left to start the inning, and then Nick Stanley singled. Tom Paola singled putting runners at first and second. Riley Swanson then flew out to center, and Stanley and Paola were not able to advance. Seth Young then singled loading the bases. Dylan Collins then singled off the third baseman's glove, scoring Stanley for the game winning run.

MDI is now 2-4 and will play at Old Town on Monday May 4th at 4:30 PM.Presque Isle is 2-3 and plays host to Houlton on Wednesday, May 6th at 4 PM.
