On a cool, wet night, the MDI Trojans traveled to Madison and came away with a 22-20 victory over the Madison Bulldogs.

MDI won the toss and elected to receive. They took possession of the  ball on their own 36 yard line. 17 plays layer, Croix Albee ran in from a couple of yards out. Drew Rich's point after attempt was good, and MDI led 7-0. The drive took 7:50. MDI has now scored on their 1st possession in all 6 games in the 2015 season!

The two teams then traded possessions and Madision took over on the MDI 48 yard line with 31.8 seconds left in the 1st Quarter. It took one play, and 10.9 seconds for Nick Morales to get into the end zone. Chris Beaman kicked the extra point, and the score was 7-7.

MDI then took over on their own 42 yard line with 16.5 seconds remaining in the 1st Quarter. 6 plays later, Croix Albee ran in from the 3 yard line and Taner Bickford ran into the end zone for the 2-point conversion. The drive took 1:45 and MDI was up 15-7.

MDI took over with 7:15 left in the 1st Half, taking over on their own 28 yard line. 9 plays and 5:25 later, MDI 's Albee scored his 3rd touchdown of the night. Rich's point after kick was good and MDI was up 22-7. That's the way the 1st Half ended.

Madison received the ball to start the 2nd Half taking over at their own 27 yard line. 7 plays and 2:51 later Briar Edgerly scored. The 2-point conversion was no good, and MDI led 22-13.

Madison then scored again, when Steven Ouellete picked off an Andrew Phelps pass, and ran it back 34 yards for a touchdown. The point after attempt by Beaman was good, and MDI led 22-20 with just over 7 minutes remaining in the 3rd Quarter.

Madison had an opportunity to score in the 4th Quarter as they took advantage of a couple of MDI penalties including a pass interference penalty. But Isaiah Keene knocked away a pass from Chase Malloy that was in the end zone at the very last second.

MDI is now 5-1 and plays at home next Friday, October 16th against Oceanside, in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.. That night is also homecoming, Senior Recognition Night, and when MDI will induct the 2015 Hall of Fame Class into the Hall of Fame.

Madison, now 3-3 travels to Old Town on Friday, October 16th to take on the Old Town Coyotes
