The MDI Trojans Girl's Soccer Team improved to 2-0 on the season with a 2-1 victory over the John Bapst Crusaders in a game played at the University of Maine on Tuesday, September 8th.

Senior Opal Curless scored both of MDI's goals in the first half to give the Trojans a 2-0 lead. Gina Cambria cut the deficit in half with an early goal in the second half for John Bapst, but the Trojans were able to come away with the victory.

Senior Keely McConomy was in goal for MDI and stopped 18 shots. Kayla Massey made 8 saves for the Crusaders.

MDI now 2-0 plays host to Old Town on Wednesday, September 9th at 6 PM. John Bapst is 1-1 and plays host to Presque Isle on Saturday, September 12th at 1 PM.
