MDI 1st EHS 2nd

Congratulations to the MDI and Ellsworth Show Choirs who finished 1st and 2nd respectively in the Maine State Vocal Jazz Festival!  MDI (pictured above) won their 5th consecutive state title!

In addition to winning the Division I state title, the show choir received a gold rating as well as an award for best choreography and two Outstanding Musicianship awards, one for soloist Lucas Wood and the other for the ensemble's pit.

The Ellsworth Show Choir (pictured above) finished 2nd in the State! Garrett Moyer, Ashley Hudson, Whitney Pierson, Madison Young, Jessica Cohen and Hannah Box all received 1 ratings on their solos.

Although not advancing to the night final, the Ellsworth Treble Show Choir "The Trebs"  directed by seniors Hannah Box and Jessica Cohen performed a medley of Disney Princess songs.
