For Red Sox pitcher Justin Masterson it was nine up and nine down as the Sox beat Tampa Bay 5-1 in spring training action in Florida.

Masterson started and threw three perfect innings, no runs, hits or walks. He struck out four.

Young lefty prospect Henry Owens also pitched two perfect innings with two strikeouts.

After dropping their first two exhibition games, the Sox have now won five in a row.

The Red Sox will take on the  Yankees tomorrow at 1 PM with Joe Kelly taking the mound for the Sox. The Sox then play the Pirates on Thursday at 1 PM, and then the Red Sox take on the Yankees again on Friday night at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA.
