It's a good thing that the Red Sox were playing on the West Coast last night, so maybe you were asleep and didn't listen to it on AM 1370 WDEA. If you did, you probably had nightmares, as Justin Masterson was rocked, allowing 6 runs, 2 homers and didn't get out of the 3rd inning in the Red Sox 9-2 loss to the Oakland A's on Tuesday, May 12th.

Masterson ended up going 2.1 innings, and gave up 6 hits, and 1 walk while striiking out 1. It would appear that his time in the starting rotation is coming to an end, as John Farrell said, "Clearly, he's not right. Whether that's physical, whether that's delivery-wise, the ball not coming out of his hand as he's shown for the better part of this year. We've got to gather some information overnight. We've got to check on him when he comes in in the morning, go through a full workup and just kind of get a better assessment of where things are."

The Red Sox only managed 4 hits off of Drew Pomeranz. Dustin Pedroia had 2 hits, and Shane Victorino had a double.

The two teams finish their 3 game series this afternoon with the pregame starting at 2:50 PM and the first pitch at 3:35 PM on AM 1370 WDEA. Wade Miley 1-4 with a 6.91 ERA pitches for the Red Sox.
