Man Faces Multiple Charges After Car Accident

A man is facing multiple charges after a late-night car accident. After fleeing the scene, the man became an issue for an acquaintance and for the hospital.

Bangor Police Sergeant Tim Cotton said in a press release that officers were called to a car accident on Ohio Street, near Hudson Avenue just after 11, Wednesday night. Responding officers found that a red Saturn had collided with a parked moving van belonging to Parker K. Bailey and Sons. There was an injured man in the passenger seat but the operator of the vehicle was nowhere to be found. Witnesses gave a description of the suspect to police.

A short time later, a woman from Cedar Street called police and reported a man fitting the suspect's description was at her door and bleeding profusely. She said she knew the man and had warned him earlier in the evening that he shouldn't drive because he'd been drinking. She asked that officers come and remove the man.

Anthony Osnoe, age 32 was captured when he tried to run from the responding officers.They took him to the EMMC emergency room where Osnoe began causing problems. Cotton says the man made inappropriate comments and gestures to the staff. When he was warned to stop, he started repeatedly calling 911 from the hospital phone.

Osnoe is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, Operating after suspension/accident with injury, Leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, Disorderly conduct, Refusing to submit to arrest, Sale/use of drug paraphernalia, Driving to endanger, and Misuse of the 911 system.
