This Saturday, downtown Dover-Forxcroft is being over-run with Whoopie Pies!

The Annual Whoopie Pie Festival began in 2009 with only a small group of a few hundred people, but has now grown into a huge event that offers a variety of tastes, so there's a little something for everyone.

To go along with the uniquely crafted whoopie pies, which range from from bacon to peanut butter, the Garelick Farms truck will be there to give out milk samples to help wash down the sugary goodness.

There will be a Whoopie Zone for kids with a bounce house, magic show, and potato sack race. For the adults there will be live music for entertainment, and a people's choice best whoopie pie contest.  Of course, there are going to be whoopie pie eating contests for all different ages.

Although the festival if officially open from 10-3 on Saturday there is a kick off concert featuring Aztec Two-Step the night before and an "Earn Your Whoopie Pie" run, for both kids and adults, earlier in the day. For more information on all of the exciting things going on at the festival check out their website.
