Maine Native Stars In New Comedy Series [VIDEO]
A new eight - part comedy series titled Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ starring Maine native and comedian Ryan Gaul will begin to stream this spring via Seeso, the new streaming comedy channel from NBCUniversal’s Digital Enterprises!
Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ is a half hour show that spoofs the many reality based real estate shows that currently air on several cable channels. A recent press release says the show "is set against the backdrop of a cutthroat and luxury L.A. real estate firm", and follows eight different agents and the clients that they try to serve.
In the show, Ryan Gaul plays Andrew Wright, described a an all-American quarterback type with a charm that allows him to get away with just about anything.
Ryan Gaul grew up in the central coastal town of Damariscotta, in Lincoln County. He then would move south and attend Stonehill College outside of Boston, MA. Following a brief career as an office supply salesman, Ryan transitioned into acting – landing a spot as a performer at Improv Asylum in Boston. He moved to Los Angeles shortly after and became a staple of the Improvisation and Sketch comedy theater The Groundlings. From there, Ryan landed guest star roles on numerous television shows, including House of Lies, Modern Family, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 2 Broke Girls and Super Fun Night. His film credits include Identity Thief and Space Station 76. Ryan has roles in the upcoming Christopher Guest film Mascots, as well as Lawrence Sher’s Bastards.
According to the press release, "His parents still think he is “visiting” Los Angeles."
Seeso is described by NBCUniversal as an "ad-free streaming comedy channel with a unique, artisanal mix of new comedies, exclusive shows, classic stand-up performances and curated films." Seeso promotes "All the comedy you can watch" at $3.99 per month.
Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ will premiere on Thursday, March 17th!
