Yesterday, (Tuesday, March 9th) former Ellsworth Eagle Conor Maguire saw his first collegiate action, for Husson University. Today, Wednesday March 9th, Maguire drove in his first run, a game winning RBI as Husson University defeated WPI 6-5 for the Eagle's first victory of the 2015-16 season.

Conor Maguire went in to play center in the 5th inning, and in the bottom of the 5th, grounded out for the 3rd out of the inning.

After WPI tied the score at 5-5 in the top of the 7th inning, Maguire came up to bat  after Mike Wong had reached on an infield single. JT Whitten then doubled to left, advancing Wong to 3rd base. Julien Boone was intentionally walked loading the bases. Maguire then singled to right center, driving in Wong with the winning run.

Husson is now 1-3 and will play WPI in game 2 of the doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at 3 PM.
