The Southwest Harbor Public Library presents a free talk about Lyme Disease on Tuesday, June 26th from 5:30 to 7 PM featuring local Lyme Disease educator and advocate Emily Bracale, with guest Dr. Blake Rosso.

Bracale will present selected slides from her Fundamentals of Lyme workshop, as well as information gathered at state Lyme Awareness conferences, the nonprofit MaineLyme.org, and the Lyme Disease Association.  She has been a citizen advocate for Lyme awareness locally since 2009, and has presented at several Lyme conferences in Maine. Dr. Blake Rosso of 54 Herrick Integrated Medicine, also a Lyme survivor, will join in the discussion.

Emily’s educational art exhibit and book, In the Lyme-Light: Portraits of Illness and Healing, has helped raise awareness of Lyme, giving voice to what thousands of other patient have experienced. Her half-day workshop, The Fundamentals of Lyme, has helped over forty local doctors, nurses, body workers, therapists, and holistic healers learn more about how to support their patients.
