Lesteriffic! Sox Take Lead 3-2

The Boston Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 5 of the World Series 3-1 and now have a 3-2 lead in the best of seven series, with the remaining games at Fenway Park.

Lester pitched 7 2/3 innings allowing just one run, four hits, striking out 7 and walking none.

David Ortiz, who else, was responsible for putting the Sox in the lead. Ortiz who has now earned the nicknames Big Pun short for Punisher and Cooperstown is s hitting .733 (11-for-15) with two homers and six RBIs.

And Koji Uehera picked up his 7th save of the post-season with a 4 out save.
