The City of Ellsworth turned on the splash pad at Knowlton Park on Wednesday, August 19th. Here's the brief ceremony with Ellsworth City Manager David Cole, Mayor Bob Crosswaithe, the raising of the American Flag and finally, the kids and some of the parents and even Economic Development Director Micki Sumpter enjoying the cool water.

Water to the splash pad will be on from 10am to dusk for as long as the warm summer weather stays with us. The restrooms and changing rooms are not available for use yet. The splash pad is "button" activated - if you notice the absence of water it just means the pad is in "sleep" mode - to active it step on one of the two round buttons embedded in the concrete surrounding the pad that says "STEP HERE"!
