Knowlton Park News

If you use Knowlton Park in Ellsworth you'll want to know this! According to the City of Ellsworth, the JUMP Playground area will be receiving 60 cubic yards of fresh new playground quality woodchips! The material will be arriving via an 18 wheeler and will take 3-4 days to unload and spread. While this work is being done, the JUMP Playground area will be closed and will be off limits for safety reasons.

The rest of the park, including the splash pad, will remain open. The playground area will be closed and roped off (day and night, not just during working hours) beginning Tuesday, June 13th and will remain closed until end of day on Friday, June 16th, 2017. IfF the work is completed sooner than expected then the playground area will re-open early. Please, for the safety of everyone, respect the need to stay out of the roped off area while this improvement to the park is being made!
