Rick Porcello lasted just five innings in Kansas City as the Royals beat up on the Red Sox 8-4. It was Porcello's worst outing of the season.

He gave up five runs on eight hits while throwing 106 pitched in those five innings.

Add in a couple of Sox errors and not-so-good bullpen and it was a tough night in KC.

The one bright spot - Travis Shaw with three hits including a 3-run home run.

NOTE: Before the game the KC Royals honored David Ortiz on his last trip into Kauffman Stadium. They gave him a chair, a picture and some BBQ sauce...

The Boston Red Sox play a day-night doubleheader against the Royals on Wednesday. You can hear both games on AM 1370 WDEA.
