The Jesup Memorial Library in Bar Harbor is conducting a silent auction between now and December 18th for 28 beautiful story book quilts, with all proceeds benefiting the Library. The quilts, all designed around children's books, feature themes like "Frozen", Where the Wild Things Are" and "Goodnight Moon".

The quilt auction was the brainchild of Carol Fortier who rallied quilters that attended her retreat in Bar Harbor to make children's book themed quilts to support the Jesup.

"We are so grateful for the generosity of Carol and this group of quilters" says Ruth Eveland, Jesup Director, now "They are like picture books come to life. Books have warmed people for generations, but now they will do so literally."
