It’s A Girl!

Update Monday May 4th... the Princess has a name!

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their daughter Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

Growing up in Bermuda, I became a fan of the British Monarchy. We sang God Save the Queen in school every day, and I even played the saxophone for Queen Elizabeth II as part of the school band when she came to the Island (and yes, I still have nightmares about it!). I got up at 3 or 4 in the morning to watch the marriage of Prince Charles to Diana, and I remember being devastated and watching Princess Diana's funeral.

That's why this morning I'm so excited to receive notifications and see on Facebook that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William and Kate) have given birth to a little girl! The little girl, still to be named is now 4th in line to the throne behind Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George.
