Island Connections Need Volunteer Drivers

The mission of Island Connections is Neighbors helping Neighbors. They provide free transportation and other services to seniors and people with disabilities from Mount Desert Island and the surrounding islands to enhance their independence and quality of life by utilizing our core group of dedicated volunteers.

The key is that they utilize their core group of dedicated volunteers. Now, they need volunteer drivers to continue their mission. They invite you to attend an information session this Thursday, September 13th from 9:30 to 11:30AM at the MDI YWCA at 36 Mount Desert Street in Bar Harbor. Coffee and pastries will be served and you can learn what is involved in being a volunteer driver with Island Connections
