IRS Scam Calls

Residents in Bar Harbor are reporting that they are receiving calls from people who are claiming to be from the IRS and that they will be bringing lawsuits against the recipients for unpaid taxes unless they pay immediately over the phone. This is a scam! You should never give out bank or credit card information to someone who calls you out of the blue! If you are contacted, you should get the callers telephone number and report it to your local police station! DON'T GIVE OUT PERSONAL, BANK OR CREDIT CARD INFO!
