Husson Baseball Wins NAC Championship
The Husson University's Baseball team is the NAC Champion after defeating the host team, Castleton State 4-2 this morning. Husson won the tournament without losing a game, in the double elimination contests.
Brewer's Pat McEwen (5-3) pitched 7 innings for Husson, giving up 6 hits, allowing 2 runs, both earned, while walking 7 and striking out 5. Brandon Reilly pitched the 9th for his first save of the year.
Ellsworth's Jordan Carter was 0-4.
Husson finishes the year at 26-17 and must wait until Monday May 13th to see if they will have an at-large bid to the NCAA Tourney. The NAC had an automatic bid up until this year.
