There's a High Wind Warning in effect from 2 AM Monday through 2 PM Monday afternoon, October 30th. Gusts up to 75 miles per hour are expected along the immediate coast of Maine, the outer Islands and over higher terrain.

Tonight (Sunday) we can expect Southeasterly winds 20-25 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour increasing to 30 to 40 miles per hour with gusts up to 60 miles per hour..

On Monday, we can expect Southerly winds 40-50 miles per hour with gusts up to 75 miles per hour, becoming Southwesterly 25 to 35 miles per hour with gusts up to 55 miles per hour in the afternoon.

With these strong winds, the chance for power outages is very high. You should check batteries for flashlights, make sure you have candles and matches nearby. Remember if you see a downed power line, steer clear. No power line is ever safe to touch.
