High Surf Advisory for Friday Night Into Saturday Night

The National Weather Service in Caribou has issued a high surf advisory for Coastal Hancock and Washington Counties from 6PM Friday night October 5th through 11 PM on Saturday, October 6th.

Large swells from Topical Storm Leslie in the Atlantic will reach the Gulf of Maine. Surf height is expected to be 5 to 7 feet.

Large waves can present a danger to people on rocks above the water. Stay away from rock outcrops along the shoreline exposed to open waves as waves can sweep people into the cold ocean waters.
