The Maine Forest Service has declared the majority of Maine at a Class 4 "Very High Fire Danger" for Saturday afternoon. Many municipalities are not allowing burn permits because of the high fire danger! Extra care should be taken with the disposal of cigarette butts!

The forecast for Downeast Maine for the rest of Saturday is for sunny skies with highs in the lower 50's. Winds are expected out of the Northeast becoming Southerly 10-15 miles per hour this afternoon.

Sunday it's expected top be partly sunny in the morning and then mostly cloudy. Highs will be in the upper 50's. Winds will be out of the Southeast 5-10 miles per hour.

We are not expecting any measurable precipitation until Monday, May 2nd in the afternoon.
