The Hermon Hawks rode the arm of Karli Theberge on Wednesday, May 20th, shutting out the MDI Trojans in softball in Bar Harbor 8-0. This game had been postponed from Tuesday because of the inclement weather.

Theberge pitched a complete game 4 hitter for Hermon, striking out 8 and walking no one.

Hermon scored 1 run in the top of the 3rd then exploded for 6 runs in the top of the 4th. The big hit was Kaily Perry's home run.

Haley Litlefield took the loss for MDI, pitching 4 innings, allowing 7 runs, 6 of the earned. She struck out 3 and walked 4 while scattering 6 hits. Aubrie Boyce pitched the last 3 innings in relief, giving up 2 hits, 1 earned run, and walking 2.

For MDI Molly Carroll and Cassidy Parady each had a double. Avalon Kerley and Katie Guarino each had a single.

For Hermon, Karli Theberge was 2-3 with a double, Lexey McManus was 1-5, Claire Peterson was 1-2, Hailey Perry was 1-4 with 3 RBIs, Kylie Kennedy was 1-4, Emily Perley was 102 with a triple and Kate Windsor was 1-3.

MDI is now 5-7 and hosts Old Town on Saturday, May 23rd at 12 noon.

Hermon is 8-2 and plays host to Foxcroft Academy on Thursday May 21st and at John Bapst on Friday May 22nd, both games at 4:30.
