Happy 1st Day of Spring

Happy 1st Day of Spring! Spring sprung this morning at 6:29 and lasts until June 21st at 12:24 AM when Summer begins!

Spring is such a season of optimism! Plants and trees start blooming...It's time to plant the vegetable garden. Robins come back to Maine. You can start thinking about turning off the furnace or pellet stove during the day. Soon we will be able to park on the street overnight! I love the first days you can air out the house with all the windows open!

There are also some things I really don't like about Spring... Mud Season... the arrival of mosquitoes and flies and of course Spring Cleaning!

But overall I'll take Spring over Winter anyday! Now Mother Nature just needs to realize it's Spring and get with the program and not drop more plowable snow on us!
