Hannah Shaw-Big East Player of the Week

MDI's Hannah Shaw was named Big East Girl's Basketball Player of the Week  for the week ending Saturday, December 21st. MDI is off to a 5-0 start, and is off until Friday, December 27th when they play host to Caribou, and Saturday, December 28th when they play host to Presque Isle.

MDI defeated George Steven's Academy 76-20 on Monday December 16th and Washington Academy 70-29 on Friday December 20th. In the victory over Washington Academy, Shaw scored a game high 16 points, and is now less than 100 points away from 1000 points for her career.

This marks the second consecutive week that a MDI player was named Player of the Week, as Jon Phelps was named Big East Boy's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending December 14th.

Hermon's Tyler Thayer was named Big East Player of the Week for the week ending December 21st on the Boy's side.
