Hancock County Sheriff Department Elves

About 50 members of the Hancock County Sheriff Department and family members descended upon the Ellsworth Walmart at 5:30 AM on Friday, December 2nd. Their mission...To purchase gifts for 150 children in Hancock County that otherwise wouldn't have a merry Christmas.

The money for this shopping excursion was raised at the Annual Hancock County Sheriff's Cup in March, where teams from across the State play in one of the largest postseason tournaments. The 2017 Sheriff's Cup will be the 17th Annual.

Shopping was completed by 7 AM, and 100 children at WHCA and 50 Children at Let's All Have a Merrier Christmas will have something to open Christmas morning, and the men, women and family members of the Hancock County Sheriff's Department will have a little spring in their step this Friday morning, knowing they have brought a little more happiness to the area they serve and protect.
