The GSA Eagles remained perfect on the season, with a 52-47 victory over Ellsworth in Blue Hill on Monday, January 4th. The two teams will meet again in Ellsworth on the next to the last game of the regular season on Tuesday, February 2nd.

Ellsworth led 9-6 at the end of the 1st Quarter, but GSA went on a 19-4 run in the 2nd Quarter to take a 25-13 lead at the half. It was 36-24 at the end of the 3rd Quarter, and despite a comeback in the 4th Quarter, Ellsworth wasn't able to take the lead and the final was 52-47.

Ellsworth was led by Nick Bagley with 13 points and Bryce Harmon had 9 points. Bagley had 3 3-pointers, Aaron Boumil had a 3-pointer as did Charlie Libby. Bruce St. Peter had 12 rebounds.  Ellsworth was 12-15 from the free throw line.

For GSA Taylor Schildroth had 16 points, Jarrod Chase and Nick Szwez had 11 points each. Schildroth had 2 3-pointers and Chase had 1 3-pointer. GSA was 15-28 from the free throw line.

Ellsworth is now 6-2 and plays host to 6-1 MDI on Wednesday, January 6th at 7 PM in a game that will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA and WDEA Internet Radio.

GSA, now 9-0 plays host to Deer Isle-Stonington on Friday January 8th at 7 PM.
