GSA Girls Nip Bucksport 2-1

The George Stevens Academy Eagles nipped the Bucksport Golden Bucks Girl's Soccer Team 2-1 on Monday afternoon October 3rd in Bucksport.

Bucksport scored 1st when Tine Hjelle scored in the 1st Half, with the assist coming from the Cassy Coombs.

The Golden Bucks took the lead into the 2nd Half, until Mariah Renke scored on a crossing ball to knot the score 1-1.

The score stayed tied until GSA's Lindsay Nevin scored with just 6 seconds left in regulation to give the Eagles the win.

Bucksport’s goalie Bree Coombs had 5 saves on 7 shots. GSA’s goalie Bess McArthur had 6 saves on 16 shots.

Bucksport is 6-4-1 and plays host to Searsport on Wednesday, October 5th at 4 PM.

GSA is 7-1-1 and plays host to Ellsworth on Tuesday, October 4th at 4 PM
