Bar Harbor Whale Watch Company is offering a special 15-Lighthouse Grand Slam Tour on Saturday July 26th with a rain date of Sunday, July 27th.

The all day lighthouse cruise will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and cover over 150 miles aboard the jet-powered catamaran Friendship V.

Lighthouses that will be visited include: ○ Bear Island ○ Bass Harbor Head ○ Blue Hill Bay ○ Deer Island Thorofare ○ Eagle Island ○ Goose Rocks ○ Brown’s Head ○ Heron Neck ○ Matinicus Rock ○ Saddleback ○ Isle Au Haut ○ Burnt Coat Harbor ○ Great Duck Island ○ Baker Island and ○ Egg Rock.

Special guest lighthouse historian and author Jeremey D’Entremont will be providing the narration at each of the lighthouses. Jeremy D’Entremont has been called the leading expert on New England’s historic lighthouses.

Other highlights during the tour will include puffins, seals, porpoise, eagles, seabirds, 100’s of islands, Little Cranberry Life Saving Station, many coastal mansions, Ocean Drive, Acadia National Park, Vinalhaven Island, and Penobscot Bay.

Guests will have the opportunity to buy books from Jeremy D’Entermont and have him sign books and a commemorative free map and scorecard of the day’s route and lights seen.

US Lighthouse Passports will be available for purchase for $15. Guests may collect five area light stamps of lighthouses during the tour.

Ticket prices are $139 adults, $119 seniors (62 plus) $89 juniors (16 and under). Ticket prices include a boxed lunch  from the Bar Harbor Club. Please call 288-2386 for reservations or more information.
