According to the Mount Desert Islander, Marc Gousse, who is currently the Superintendent of the Westbrook, Maine School Department, has been chosen the new Superintendent of AOS 91, the Mount Desert Regional School System and has signed a five year contract. Dr. Gousse, will begin his new position July 1, 2016.

Dr. Gousse  graduated from college at Maine Maritime Academy in 1982, received his teaching certification from Bates College in 1984. He received his Masters Degree from the University of Southern Maine in 1997 and his Doctoral Degree from California Coast University in 2012. He is a retired Commander in the United States Navy, having served from 1982-2005

Dr. Colter, has accepted a 1 year interim superintendent contract with the Cape Elizabeth School System. He has been the AOS Superintendent for 16 years, serving in that capacity a couple of times. Dr. Colter will present the Commencement Address at MDI High School on Sunday, June 12th.
