After the last Christmas gifts are unwrapped and tried on, an iconic clothing retailer will close it's doors forever in Maine.

Gap stores at the Bangor Mall and the Maine Mall in South Portland, will shut down for good in January, after the upcoming holiday season ends, according to a report at WABI.

Gap Inc., announced this summer that it would be closing 140 stores across the United States to streamline the company and increase profits.
