The Maine Warden Service has located two missing campers. The couple was camping with six other people when they went missing Monday afternoon.

Maine Warden Service Corporal John MacDonald says Michael Chapman, age 40, and Kelli McFarlin, age 38, both of Newport, were last seen at around noon on Memorial Day. They were camping with six others by Little Wilson Falls in Eliotsville. The pair was packing up camp and moving supplies to a vehicle in preparation for leaving, but they never made it to the parking lot.

Game Wardens were notified yesterday afternoon at around 3:40. Both ground searchers and aircraft were used to look for the couple until dark last evening, and then the search was resumed this morning at dawn.

The Maine Warden Service announced this afternoon that the pair was found alive. They became lost after taking a wrong trail while heading back to the parking lot. Chapman and McFarlin were found about two miles away from their campsite when they were found in good health.
