Maine Drug Enforcement agents arrested a Frenchville man and charged him with trafficking in methamphetamine. The investigation is ongoing and police expect more arrests will be made.

Michael Fongemie, 20 has been the subject of an ongoing investigation involving the sale of methamphetamine being sold in tablet form. On the evening of December 13th, drug agents conducted an undercover operation and were able to purchase a quantity of the drug from Fongemie in Frenchville.

He was arrested and taken to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton. He is now free on $20,000 bail. A search following the arrest yielded about 200 tablets containing methamphetamine and a loaded .32 caliber revolver. The street value of the drugs is about $5,000. It’s believed they’re coming from out of state.

Fongemie is charged with Class A Felony Aggravated Trafficking in Schedule W drugs. (methamphetamine) The Drug Enforcement Agency says the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.  Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Aroostook MDEA District Field Office in Houlton at 532-0501.
