Free the Z Turkey Drive [UPDATE]

Wednesday night November 18th. - Thanks to the generosity of our great listeners we collected over 1400 turkeys today and our total is at 1943! Everyone will be there until 6 PM Thursday November 19th. Manna still needs about 5000 turkeys! The most we have ever collected at Free the Z is 3000! Please help us on Wednesday! The need is still so great!

Every year, our sister station Z107.3 camps out in the Brewer Hannaford parking lot for 3 days, in the hopes of collecting over 2000 turkeys so that Manna can distribute them to the hungry, so they can have a turkey for Thanksgiving. Every year, the need for turkeys is greater.

The Free the Z Turkey Drive started yesterday, November 17th, and will continue at least today, and tomorrow until 6 PM! Kid is sleeping in a trailer in the parking lot. You can drop off frozen turkeys or cash or checks made out to Hannaford, and we will buy the turkeys for you. Ten dollars is equivalent to one turkey. We don't care where you purchase the turkey! Whether they come from Hannaford, Walmart, Shaw's, BJ's, Sam's Club or somewhere else, we're all about the turkeys and helping our friends and neighbors in need!

We have started out slowly this year. On Day 1 we collected only 420 turkeys. We need your donations more than ever! Trust me, you'll feel great when you help those in need!
