It seems nowadays that more and more children are being diagnosed with ADHD. ADHD is short for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in Ellsworth will be hosting a FREE Health Education event ADHD -"What Every Parent and Grandparent Would Like to Know" on Monday August 15th 2016 from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.

This FREE Event includes a healthy dinner, so preregistration is required. You can register by calling 667-5337 or registering online.

A full panel of health care providers from Maine Coast Pediatrics including Sheena Whittaker, MD, Douglas MacGregor MD, Lisa Allen PA-C and Lori Knowles PNP-C will answer questions from parents, grandparents and other caregivers and talk about treatment options that are available.

ADHD is a common, chronic condition that often begins in childhood and can persist into adulthood. It can contribute to challenges in all areas of life. While there is no sure fire treatment, there are treatment options available.
