Former MDI Trojan Lydia DaCorte has been named an All-American swimming at Wheaton College in her freshman year.

DaCorte, who was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Swimming Rookie of the Year, also earned an individual All-American honor, finishing 16th in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:12.88. She was also  part of two relay teams that earned All-American Honorable Mention finishes. The Wheaton Women's 400-yard free relay finished 13th (3:27.77), while the 800-yard free relay team finished in a school record time of 7:34.29.
