Driving around you can tell we have gone from summer to fall with a snap of the fingers! Leaves are starting to turn, and the latest (September 28th) Foliage Report from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry bears that out!

Northern Maine is reporting low, (10-30 percent) color change. The Bangor area as well as Ellsworth and Bar Harbor area are showing low color change as well.

According to Gail Ross, Maine's Fall Foliage Spokesperson

As suspected, with the cooler fall-like temperatures, colors are starting to emerge in Northern Maine. Now that our weahter has taken a more seasonal turn, colors will be changing daily as the entire state starts going toward peak conditions in October. Rangers in Northern Maine believe we will start seeing moderate colors (30-50 percent) this upcoming weekend.
