Final MDI Football Coach’s Recap Show
Here’s the final MDI Football Coach’s Show of the 2012 Season. Friday night, the #8 seed, MDI lost to the #1 seed Mount Blue of Farmington 14-13, but not before having the chance to pull off the biggest of upsets when they went for 2 points and the win with just under four minutes left in the game.
Coach Shields talks about the changes in the game plan he spoke about in the Coach’s Show on October 25th and the success the Trojans had in the game. He talks about the decision to go for two points and the win, rather than kick the extra point and try to force overtime. He also talks about what he said to the Trojans after the game.
I want to thank Coach Shields and the rest of the coaching staff, for the tremendous access they have given me throughout the season. They have allowed me to ask, and they have answered all the questions put to them throughout the year. I also want to thank Athletic Director Bunky Dow and the rest of the MDI administration for their assistance throughout the year. To the parents and the community, you have every reason to be proud of these young men. They have carried themselves with pride and played with determination throughout the season.Finally, I want to thank all the advertisers who supported our broadcasts this year! Thanks for another great year, and we at WDEA look forward to carrying Trojan Football in 2013!
