Mainers help Mainers. It's the way it is, and it's what makes Maine such a great place to live. Here's a chance to have a good time  Saturday night, November 1st from 6 to 9 PM and help the hundreds of our neighbors that will lose their job at the Verso Mill in Bucksport when it closes December 1st.

The event will take place at the Orland Community School, 21 School House Road in Orland. This is designed to be a fun, family event, and there's no admission charge, although cash donations will be gratefully accepted. All funds collected will be used to support the displaced mill workers to help them with heating costs, food and more.

This is a alcohol free event with a fun family theme. Wear your Halloween costumes as a family or come as you are, but please come. There will be a DJ with music, costume contests, goodies, games, raffles and more!

You are invited to help stock the food pantry meant for displaced mill workers by bringing your donations of non-perishable food items to the event.
