Emera Working on Transmission Line in Dedham

Drivers going between Ellsworth and Bangor should be very mindful of Emera Maine lineworkers and contractors who are working on Route 1A in Dedham.

The work which has been going on for awhile will ramp up in May, as night work is going to be added. During that time, portions of the road may be closed for periods of time to allow for the replacement of the transmission line. Signs will be placed along Route 1A will provide notice of upcoming closures.

Emera Maine asks motorists to please watch for the signs and lights indicating road work and

• Avoid distractions while driving
• Move over far enough to give crews room to work
• Slow down to pass workers at a safe speed.
