The Ellsworth Eagles picked up their first win last Saturday, on Friday night September 18th, they picked up their first home victory since the program was restarted, beating the Stearns Minutemen 42-6!

Devin Wright rushed for 19 carries and 154 yards and had 4 touchdowns! Connor Petros had 10 carries for 65 yards and a touchdown and caught a 2 point conversion. Tyler Hardwick had 2 catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Javon Williams had 95 yards passing.  Ellsworth had a total of 224 yards rushing and 95 yards passing, and for the first time, didn't have to punt the ball!

On the defensive side of the ball, Austin Smith led the team with 6 solo tackles and 1 assist. Ed Sadler had 4 solo tackles and an assist. Wally Moon had a blocked kick and Jacob Shorey and Ethan Kane had fumble recoveries for the Eagles.

Ellsworth now 2-1 goes on the road next Saturday, to play at Camden on September 26th at 1 PM.

Stearns, 0-4 plays host to Washington Academy on Friday, September 25th at 7 PM.
