Ellsworth Volleyball Falls to Thornton Academy

The Ellsworth Volleyball Team fell to Class A Thornton Academy on Saturday evening at Katsiaficas Gymnasium losing the match 3-0 with the set scores 18-25, 20-25 and 17-25. It was their 4th game in the week.

For Ellsworth Delaney Sargent and Rachel Bunker had 4 aces. Sammy Mason had 9 kills. Rachel Bunker had 17 service receptions. Alexa Grant had 6 assists and Delaney Sargent had 12 digs to lead Ellsworth.

Ellsworth is now 2-3 on the season. It's another busy week for the Eagles, with 4 matches scheduled. They play host to Bucksport on Tuesday, September 22nd at 5 PM, then they travel to play MDI on Wednesday, September 23rd at 5:30 PM. On Friday, September 25th at 5 PM they host Narraguagus and then on Saturday, September 26th they travel to Bridgeton to play Lake Region at 1 PM.
