Drive by any Friday night during the summer and you'll see just how popular Harbor Park and Marina is becoming!

This past Friday night's performance by the Crown Vics drew a ton of concert goers to the park built back in the 70s just off Water Street. It was part of the Free Waterfront Concert series presented by the Grand and the City of Ellsworth, and was only one of the many events including Autumn Gold and private weddings, that now happen at Harbor Park on a regular basis.

Harbor Park already has a 175 foot brick walking trail that runs beside the Union River, and officials have plans to expand it another 400 feet or so to Water Street.  The newly announced concept plan would be another step towards linking Harbor Park with the downtown area of Ellsworth.

Grants are being applied for and City types hope that construction will begin sometime this fall!
