In the battle of Eagles, the Ellsworth Eagles Boy's Soccer Team defeated the George Stevens Academy Eagles 4-0 at Del Luce Stadium in Ellsworth on Tuesday night, October 6th.

Ellsworth scored the first goal, and eventual game winner off the head of Trent Goodman with an assist by Lukas Firestone with 18:38 left in the 1st Half.

Ellsworth led 2-0 at the end of the 1st half, when Alex Braley scored with another assist by Firestone with 2:59 remaining in the half.

Trent Goodman scored his 2nd goal of the night, again as a result of a header, this time with an assist from Alex Braley with 31:24 remaining in the 2nd Half.

The final goal was scored by Colby Clarke, unassisted with 30:23 remaining in the 2nd Half.

Bruce St. Peter was in goal for Ellsworth and had 6 saves while Julian Fiske was in goal for GSA and finished with 11 saves

Ellsworth is now 9-0-1, the lone unbeaten team in Class B East. Ellsworth plays John Bapst Thursday, October 8th at the University of Maine at 4 PM.

George Stevens Academy is 4-5-1. The GSA Eagles play host to Orono on Saturday, October 10th at 11 AM.
