It took two tries, but the Ellsworth school budget passed on Tuesday night, July 7th by a vote of 286-175. Back on June 9th, the budget failed 129-105 $135,000 was cut from the original budget by the City Council and School Board for the re-vote.

There were 461 votes cast, which was 8.4% of the 5500 registered voters in Ellsworth. The June 9th vote only had 234 ballots cast, which was 4.2% of the registered voters
