Ellsworth police today released photos of the vehicle they believe was used by the man who robbed Key Bank in that town. The man, whose features were completely covered, was seen sitting in this truck outside the bank for quite some time before the robbery happened.

Just before 2 in the afternoon on February 3rd, a man walked into the High Street branch of the bank and demanded money. Pictures from the bank show a man completely covered in black and gray clothing.

The photos released today show a dark-colored pickup truck that police say the suspect used to leave the scene. Police say the truck MAY be lighter in the front than the bed and is either green or black. The vehicle headed up the Bangor road, at least as far as Ellsworth High School, according to detective Dotty Small.

The entire description of the suspect is a white male, approximately six feet all, clean-cut, short light-brown hair, no facial hair or glasses. He was carrying a bright green RYOBI rectangular lunch cooler that looked well-worn, as if he carries his lunch in it to work each day.

Anyone who thinks they may have information is encouraged to call Detective Dotty Small at the Ellsworth Police Department at 669-6699.
