The Ellsworth Eagles rallied to beat the Brewer Witches 4-2 in Brewer on Thursday, May 17th under the lights, scoring 3 runs in the top of the 7th.

Matt Burnett went the distance for the Eagles, picking up the win. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1. He struck out 8 including the side in the bottom of the 7th.

Josiah Cyr drove in Brewer's runs in the bottom of the 5th inning with a single past a diving 2nd baseman. He ended up with 2 singles.  Andrew Kiley and Trevor Pearson each had a single for the Witches.

Bradly Smith scored Ellsworth's 1st run in the 5th inning to break a scoreless tie. He initially walked and stole 2nd and scored on Sam Horne's single

Connor Wagstaff led off the 7th, pinch hitting and walked. and advanced to 2nd on a passed ball. He scored on Jack Lee's single to tie the game. Lee stole 2nd and then Jared Hamilton walked. Lee scored on Sam Horne's single and Hamilton scored on Burnett's single.

Ellsworth sits atop the Class B Heal Point Standings with a 10-1 record. The Eagles play at Old Town on Friday, May 18th at 4:30 and then host the Coyotes on Saturday, May 19th at 12 Noon.

Brewer is 7-4 and hosts MCI on Saturday, May 19th at 1 PM.
